Painting: A Journey Through the Basics
Instructor: Char Hall
2.5 hours
Sunday @ 12- Noon
Cost $50
This two and a half hour seminar will focus on a beginner's journey through the world of painting. We will be primarily focusing the discussion on oil paints and working on making them less mysterious and showing you just how easy, fun, and fast they can be. Just because that’s the primary focus doesn’t mean that’s the only medium that can be discussed. Questions on a variety of materials are welcome.
The seminar will also touch on a range of subjects such as types of canvases, the best brushes for the right job, how to go from good composition to great composition, and so much more. And though this class is perfect for beginners, even the seasoned painter is sure to pick up new tips and tricks.
Char Hall, the instructor for the seminar, is an award winning visual artist and tattoo artist from Sacramento, CA. Her work can be found on display at a variety of galleries, including Hyaena Gallery in Burbank, CA. Her work has also been used in the new major motion picture “Scream 4” directed by Wes Craven, and for the DVD release of Robert Galluzzo’s “The Psycho Legacy.”
For questions or registration information, please e-mail: verminink@yahoo.com
All participants who pre-register are guaranteed a limited edition print and a copy of the seminar manual. For those that register at the convention, all materials will be on a first come first serve basis. |
